Creating beautifully fragranced artisan candles, with sustainability at heart.

Founded in 2020 by Heather Gilberthorpe Pell, Lit has grown to become an artisan brand that centres around collaboration with fellow female makers, working sustainably to create naturally fragranced products of the highest quality.

After utilising the beneficial properties of aromatherapy at home - and making gifts for family and friends - we began selling our natural candles during lockdown to people who might also benefit from aromatherapy at home.

Our key aim was to create naturally scented candles using sustainable ingredients, so we perfected our skills now craft our natural scented candles using vegan soy wax and pure essential oils.

We’ve since continually sought ways to work more sustainably while developing our product range. We’re 100% plastic free, we’ve moved from using glassware for our candles, to solely selling refillable candles made using handmade ceramic vessels and we love sharing our knowledge and passion during our Candlemaking Workshops.
