The Refill & Relight Workshop, ​21st March

Spring is here — the perfect time to gather your loved ones for an evening of creativity and scent.

Join us to create your own set of six scented candle refills, blending a fresh seasonal scent that’s uniquely yours — all while enjoying a handcrafted cocktail and nibbles within Marmadukes’ relaxed atmosphere.

What to Expect

6.30 – 8.30pm

We’ll guide you through the full candle-making process — from exploring 14 thoughtfully curated essential oils to blending your own signature scent and pouring it into a handmade ceramic vessel, crafted by the talented Grey Suit Clay.

Alongside your workshop experience, you’ll enjoy a freshly made cocktail on arrival, a generous spread of delicious bites, and the warm, relaxed atmosphere Marmadukes is known for. Additional drinks — including cocktails, wine and soft options — will be available to purchase throughout the evening.

Your Scented Refills

You’ll pour six individual 50g candle refills to burn within your ceramic vessel — thoughtfully designed to be restyled and reused time and again. After the workshop, you can opt to refill with our Signature Scents, or we’ll custom-blend future refills using your own unique fragrance, allowing your scent story to continue long after the evening ends.

  • Marrying our mutual passions for sustainability, quality materials and produce, we’ve teamed up with Marmadukes to bring you this delicious and relaxing evening at their stunning venue on Ecclesall Road, The Sorting Office, lovingly restored in 2021. 

    Spread across two floors, Marmadukes - The Sorting Office houses an open, bright, 60-seater cafe space on the ground floor, along with our very own sourdough bakery, expanded pastry kitchen, and zero waste shop.

  • Workshops are subject to availability. Cancellations must be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the workshop, otherwise a refund may not be possible.

    Very rarely, we may need to cancel or postpone a workshop because of circumstances out of our control or if a course is under-subscribed. If you are a confirmed attendee, we will let you know as soon as possible. We are not obliged to offer alternative dates or date if the reason for the cancellation is not down to us. This is down to our discretion but you will be offered a full refund for the workshop.

    If you are unable to attend on the day, due to illness or other events beyond your control, we will do our best to offer you an alternative date but cannot guarantee this.
