’Tis the season to get creative! Gather your friends for an evening of candle making, cocktails, and festive fun — the perfect way to get into the spirit of the season.

Sip on mulled wine beneath the glow of Marmadukes’ twinkling Christmas tree as you create your own beautifully scented candle.

What to Expect

6.30 – 8.30pm

Join us for a night of fragrance, creativity, and festive magic. We’ll guide you through the full candle-making process – from selecting and sampling 14 beautifully curated essential oils to blending your own bespoke scent and pouring it into a handmade ceramic vessel by the talented Grey Suit Clay.

Alongside the candle-making, you’ll enjoy a delicious freshly made cocktail on arrival, a spread of tasty bites, and the buzz of Marmadukes’ welcoming atmosphere. Additional drinks – including cocktails, wine and soft options – will be available to purchase on the night.

Your Candle

You’ll create a Tapered Refillable Candle, designed to be restyled and reused. After the workshop, choose to refill with one of our Signature Scents, or we’ll custom-blend refills using your unique creation – so your fragrance journey can continue long after the evening ends.

  • Marrying our mutual passions for sustainability, quality materials and produce, we’ve teamed up with Marmadukes to bring you this delicious and relaxing evening at their stunning venue on Ecclesall Road, The Sorting Office, lovingly restored in 2021. 

    Spread across two floors, Marmadukes - The Sorting Office houses an open, bright, 60-seater cafe space on the ground floor, along with our very own sourdough bakery, expanded pastry kitchen, and zero waste shop.

  • Workshops are subject to availability. Cancellations must be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the workshop, otherwise a refund may not be possible.

    Very rarely, we may need to cancel or postpone a workshop because of circumstances out of our control or if a course is under-subscribed. If you are a confirmed attendee, we will let you know as soon as possible. We are not obliged to offer alternative dates or date if the reason for the cancellation is not down to us. This is down to our discretion but you will be offered a full refund for the workshop.

    If you are unable to attend on the day, due to illness or other events beyond your control, we will do our best to offer you an alternative date but cannot guarantee this.
